Two pairs of setae on each segment.

Ecolink is wrong. There are four pairs of setae
on each segment of an earthworm, two ventral
pairs and two lateroventral pairs. Other kinds
of annelid worms have more or fewer setae,
depending on the kind. I checked the setal
number in a reference to be sure I remembered
it correctly, though in fairness to Ecolink I should
add that there are some things the average
person might call earthworms which have only
two pairs of setae per segment. These are
rare, however, and not likely to be encountered.
