I need to find a website that has some comprehensive Ford tech data for current Ford engines, looking for 1996 Ford explorer 4.0L V6. Looking for head, intake, exhaust manifolds, sequence, and torQ spex, to re-assemble.

The following is the torque spec. and sequence for the engine in question:
Install and tighten cylinder head bolts in the sequence shown, in the following steps.

Step 1 — 30-35 Nm (22-26 lb-ft)
Step 2 — 70-75 Nm (52-56 lb-ft)
Step 3 — rotate bolts 90 degrees

The following is the torque spec. for the lower intake manifold:
Position the intake manifold with the aid of two guide studs located in position 3 and 4 below, and install the bolts hand-tight. Then remove the two guide studs and replace with bolts. Tighten the intake manifold bolts in three stages following the sequence shown.

8 Nm (6 lb-ft)
15 Nm (11 lb-ft)
22 Nm (16 lb-ft)

As for the exhaust manifolds:
Installation

NOTE: Lightly oil all bolt and stud threads before installation.



Clean mating surfaces on the exhaust manifold, cylinder head (6049) and exhaust inlet pipe (5246).

Position exhaust manifold on the cylinder head and install manifold attaching bolts. Tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).

Connect exhaust inlet pipe to the exhaust manifold. Tighten the attaching nuts to 27 Nm (20 lb-ft).

Try a company called alldata. A lot of auto repair shops use them inluding the one I work for. The program they have will give you all the information that you need about your vehicle or othr vehicles. You can also try going to your local parts store and buying a haynes or chiltons manual for your vehicle wither of them should also have all the information you need about your vehicle
