I wouldn't dare do it. I'd get inside with burning bits of house falling about me and start dithering: do I grab the folders labelled important papers (passports, birth certificates, etc.) or the boxes of family photos? Did my daughter ( now nearly 19) "rescue" her very favorite stuffed animal? Oops! Too late.
