I recently changed the bowl for my fish and when i put them in their cup ( it's just the thing i put them in when i changed their water) they like stopped moving. I put them back in their bowl quickly and they just lied on their back at the bottom of the bowl???!!! THey're fine now but what happened???

Shock. First from being confined in a small space and then from temperature shock. You need to be very careful when you change the water to be sure the water in the cup and in the bowl are very nearly the same.

It could be that the water it was in might have been too cold for them. Try putting them in after you have let the water sit in the room for about 20 minutes to reach the right temp.

Sounds like the temp was to different between the two containers. You should always use old tank water when you are moving fish to a different container.

They where getting used to the water again.Fish do that so they can swim.And put the fish in slowly not very slow so they can adujust to the water temp

you didnt keep the water temperature steady, most likely the cup was colder so they stopped moving to save energy

YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE A FISH IN A BOWL!!!! It was probably shock. You're HURTING your fish!!!!
