no - she left when I was two - didn't see her until 38 years later. Complete waster, no guilt just pure selfish. Now I realise she did me and my younger brother (he was one when she left) a massive favour. I have a great stepmother who came into my life when I was 7. You don't have to give birth to a child to be a good mother.

Yes she was a good mum. Sadly she died aged 53 through illness and I miss her terribly and can cry whenever I think about her. So if all you lucky people whose mum is still around cherish it no matter what. There is no better friend, trust me. I love the foster and allen record "Maggie", reminds me of her and thats what I had put on her gravestone.I sincerely hope all mums do right for their kids, cause thats why we had our children "to do right for them - hopefully"

My mum was great and was pretty much my support throughout the part of my life she was alive for.
Dad on the other hand, that is a whole differrent story. I think he was better suited for fighting his war than being a parent.

I still have my mum, and i love her very much and can't imagine being without her,
I feel sad when i read the other answers from people who either haven't got them now or did'nt really have them in the first place. It's such a shame to read sad stories.

My relationship with my mother is really good. Yes, sometimes we upset each other and get on each other nerves but deep down we are there for one another and love each other. She sacrifice so much for me growing up and she is the best. Just like any mother/daughter relationship.

It was great as a kid, but got rocky when I was a teen. Then she passed away. I still wonder to this day what kind of relationship we would have had these 20 years later.

Terrible and no, still isn't and after everything that she has done and still doing I don't think we'll ever have anything other than a strained relationship.

Yes my mam did. Sadly I lost her over ten years ago but her love and advice and caring still live with me today.
I am who I am because of her and think of her every day.
I hope you are okay though and things are good with your mam x
