Quite simply, they stayed fresh... unlike other glam bands, all their albums sound different, and their greatest hits doesn't sound like a re-hash of the same hit that came first Chronologically. Guitar One magazine made a joke one time about 80's glam bands that there was Bon Jovi and 200 other bands all covering the one song Jon Bon Jovi didn't write. While this comment is unfair to Poison and Def Lepard (who also had a largely Glam sound, despite being classified as "rock"), those are the only two exceptions I can really think of...

Because he has stayed true to his style of music and didn't change just because everyone else did. He is always true to himself.
