Why manufactures mentioning speed in the speedo meter, more than the maximum acheivable speed of the vehicle.

This gets people excited with the possibility of maybe going that fast.(fantasy) and therefore sells more cars.

Draping a pretty young lady across the hood has sold a lot a cars too (more fantasy)
