Im none of the above but my friends say thats not normal and that i need to toughen up is this true?

Not any more true than saying women need to be thin and work in the kitchen all day. It's not a bad idea to be able to stand up for your opinions, but people who respond with anger are usually defeated in their endeavors and are attempting to gain the upper hand by some means other than intelligence.

All men are angry/violent/aggressive at least some of the time. It is only the men who are angry/violent/aggressive all of the time who display anti-social behavior and need professional help. I suggest you try hitting a punching bag every once in a while to get your virility on. Rage/aggression is caused by our hormones and is the male equivalent to PMS.

Men are to be strong; direct; honest; protective.
It's ok to be assertive, but not agressive. Sounds like your friends need to learn the difference.

No they should not be angry, violent or aggressive. Those kind of men need help learning how to deal with life problems.

No is not normal find a Family coseling or if you live in Texas Contact a Head Start they might more information, because I asist one of thetre coference of dad and after dad I had been mjobre calm belive me if you go your life is going to change.
