If you love your soft top, you'll wash it with a suitable soft top solution.

If you love your car you'll find it easy do this.

If you love your bank balance, you'll do it, no question......

It can go through the car wash just like a rain storm. Older ones are more likely to have leaks where the weather stripping is not so good. If this is the do-it-yourself kind of wash, use the foamy brush on the top

Yes it can, obviously only if your roof is in good condition.
And this may sound like i'm mocking you but car shampoo from any car maintenance shop is pretty effective. if your in the UK Halfords do cheap and cheerful varieties.
Technically you should always use proper car shampoo as fairy liquid/equivalents contain salt which scratches your glass and paintwork removing the protective waxes. but not many people are that anal about it, including me !

Better to use a jet wash i.e. high pressure water. You can buy them from places like Argos for not much money.
