when is that u would start ur maternity leave if u are working the reason am asking is because i am on jobseekers which helps me find work or training and am not sure i would be fit enough etc because am 20weeks pregnant and not sure if i will get work or not(am in the uk) and never worked b4 so i dont know where that leaves my chances

You should be fit enough to work unless your doctor has told you otherwise. In America, it is illegal not to hire a woman because she is pregnant, but they usually find another reason if they can see that she is so the law doesn't help much. Being that you have never worked before, you're chances aren't high that someone will hire you. Talk to a worker about some training or schooling. Maybe even training in early childhood care and education, then you can work at a daycare or school and your child may be able to be nearby.
