My old laptop was stolen with some CDs. I want to switch the songs in my ipod into my new computer WITHOUT deleting everything and starting over. Any suggestions?

Downlaod the latest version of Itunes .. then connect your Ipod to your computer ...
DO NOT LET IT SYNC JUST YET . if it tells you you need to sync this pod just ignore it and reduce itunes to the task bar .. dont close it !!
once your computer picks up your ipod, open my computer , find your ipod on there and click on it.. find your music folder and copy it to a file on your computer hard drive...
Once that is done then you can remove your ipod but keep itunes open .. then import your music from that folder to Itunes .. that way even if you make a mistake you still have those songs saved in another file ..
Remember do not sync your ipod to the new computer until you have done this .. once you have saved it you can go ahead and resync your pod ...and if you've done it right you will have all your songs ...

Authorize the new computer and it should sync the music back to the computer.
