I am a 21 year old lesbian female, interested in having kids some day.. I guess I have a couple of questions. #1: What are different methods women have tried to concieve children, without having intercourse with a male.. and #2 while raising kids in a same sex household, how have your children been affected ( The same as heterosexual couples w/kids?)

My step-sister was in a situation like that and the problems come down not to how she feels about it so much as.... well, how do I put it... puberty is a very chaotic time in a teenagers life. And usual around this time it becomes a bit of a crisis because not everyone excepts such a lifestyle. So there well come times when her personal relationship with her peers will effect her willbeing. The cool thing is that its really shallow behavior and the kiddo developing past this really makes them a stronger cookie. But it means you have to be a better friend and a better parent then most strait relationship couples get away with... but thats the great thing, with the truth of things, it acutal teaches a kiddo better wants important.... but beware the outside world, ingnorances is rapid... the frist question should be self-explanitory they havn't came up with any new techniques since plain old fertilazation, just new ways of controling the out come....

I am a lesbian raising two children with my partner. My kids are 8 and 14 and are very open to teachers and friends about their moms.My oldest has gone threw some teasing, but if you teach them to respond in a mature manner, they will do a great job of educating the younger generation. The fact that they have two moms is old news now and they have alot of friends who accept them and their differences. In fact all their friends think it's "awesome".

As for how to get pregnant, you can purchase sperm samples from a bank, or choose a donor to give you a sample, and be artificially inseminated by a doctor. If there are other fertility issues, the doctor can assist with that. I purchased a sample and was inseminated and have two beautiful daughters.
