my mate wants a emo theme for her birthday later this month.
she wants us to dress up like emos and go to a few emo bars and a club she has heard about (apparently the guys she likes goes to these bars).
what should i wear and how should i style my hair?

use a temporary dye to make it black sweep your bangs across your face and straighten the heck out of it
wear tight fitting pants and a band shirt with button or pins on your outfit and buy a messenger bag to use as a purse and put buttons and pins on it too

If you can get a black wig or some temporary/spray on black hair dye, this would be a good place to start! Whatever length your hair is, you should have a fringe that sweeps right across one of your eyes!
I'm not sure if going to an emo bar in 'emo' fancy dress is the best way for your mate to pull these guys... they might be a bit offended! But anyway, none of my business... lol!!
Get yourself to Primark and New Look for a cheap outfit. Some black skinny jeans or a mini skirt with footless tights will do the trick. Anything with polka dots, skull and crossbones or guns on it will work! Leopard accessories are also a bonus. Have a look on ebay for some of this stuff, as you'll get it dirt cheap! In fact, just type 'emo' into eBay and you'll get everything you need, lol!
For the shoes, flats like ballet shoes or canvas pumps will be cool - especially if you can find some Vans rip offs (New Look sell black and white checked canvas shoes that would be perfect).
Dark eyeliner is also an essential.

Spray your hair black run a bit of mousse through it to give it a messy look
as for what you should wear go for black slim leg jeans a band shirt such as Fall Out Boy or My Chemical Romance a coloured hoody and a pair of converse or skater shoes

I have alot of emo friends
ok first wear your hear straight but messy, then you need to wear alot of eyeliner but don't become pale. emo girls wear tight clothes and usually skulls( that don't look scary). dog chain bracelets would be good and some fake piercings.

wear black jeans,and a black rock band Shirt(try: hot topic *Hot Topic is a store you freak*). straighten you hair and dye a section of it(that's right in front of your right ear) shake your head so its kind of messy.BLACK MASCARA AND EYE LINER>! NO EYE SHADOW!! But if your hair is not black natually,then don't dye it all black. you will look like too much like a poser. and you would look like your trying too hard. Good luck with that.

Hahaha, with all this black going on it's going to look like you're all off to a funeral. Go in fancy dress as an emu and tell her you can't spell :)) Have fun whatever though!!

Ehm... is emo the same as goth? Damn, I am so old, I don't know about these things. Judging on the name I'd say you are safe with black clothes, and your hair... ehm...don't wash or comb it on the day.
