Yes, Chatting romantically with other than your spouse is cheating. Here is why:
~ You will most likely discuss personal stuff, which you should discuss only with your spouse.
~ Chatting would create desire to meet this person, who is non-mehram.
~ Takes-up family time.
Suggestion:
~ If you are bored with everyday life, take a vacation with your spouse.
~ Your spouse is very romantic, remember the early days of marriage?
~ You have to work hard it, for example, try to be polite with your spouse. Take your spouse out to dinner. Buy silk pajamas or lingerie
Anyway good luck, hope it helps.

No way. It's just another form of fantasizing. After all, for all you know, the "partner" you're chatting with could easily be a 70 year old wrinkled up old fart. It's all what you make it in your own mind. If you never meet them and there is never some sort of actual contact, how can it be cheating? It's no different that watching a movie to get aroused!

It is absolutely cheating even though you're not physically cheating. You're spending time flirting and talking with someone who is not your husband or significant other. There's usually sexual inuendo, and that's not something I think if a healthy thing is you're in a good relationship and want to stay in it!

It's not quite as bad as physically cheating, but it runs a close second. It's still definitely cheating.

What are your chances of reasonably meeting this person and doing anything with them? If the answer is little to none, then you are engaging in a healthy fantasy (just don't divulge any personal info! there are scary ppl out there!)

If it goes past flirting or chatting and you become emotionally attached to this person it is.

Yes, you are putting time and energy into something that your spouse is not involved in. You can cheat on your spouse by working too much too.

No, it's just like flirting. You do it to find new friends and enjoy yourself, not to find a new partner.
That's also like asking if reading a romance novel is like cheating. It's not, you're just entertaining yourself.
