Alexander is a dope running back. His only problem is he is too patient and won't just attack the hole. The line sucked last year and as a consequence Alexander did not eclipse 1000 yards for the first time in his career. Let me be the first to say that if the line improves this year watch for Alexander to be in the running for MVP again. He is good with Oakland's O Line but is great with the Seahawks' O Line. Go Seahawks!!!

Alexander wasn't all that spectacular last year with the exception of 1 game where he was his old self. I doubt that he's ever an elite RB again and I think he's nearing the end of his career.
I'd rank him as the 4th best starting RB in his division after Frank Gore (he's arguably better than LT), Steven Jackson (he's a bigger version of Marshall Faulk), and Edgerrin James (he was playing at the same level he had played at in Indy after the Cardinals got their line together late in the year).
Alexander may bounce back, but he may also go down the same path that Jamal Lewis did and there are still a few people who think he's a good RB too.

An injury to a running back can ruin them. Bo Jackson was the best until he got hurt. Priest Holmes and Marshall Faulk were incredible until their injuries. More than any other position running backs have a hard time recovering. Alexander came back last year and did not show his old form. LT is the man and would be considered the best this past year even if Alexander was never hurt. He broke records that were considered untouchable. I like Alexander and hope he regains his form but much like Dillion was pushed out of NE watch as Seattle drafts a decent RB this or next draft.

Shaun Alexander is a great running back. not as good as LT, but he's at least made a SB appearance. LT hasn't gotten 2 the AFC championship.

yes.. but the problem with Alexander last year was his injury. LT had a better year. Now watch this year LT will be on the cover of the Madden 2008, like SA was and in turn will have a injury that will sideline him a few games.. or even the seaon too!

when shaun alexander scored 28 tds, what do u think priest holmes was saying? (previous td per season holder 27) its all about whos breaking the record now. LT had 31 tds mannn!!!! how can you not talk about him? dont get me wrong, shaun is still up there with him, but shuan beat the td record by one. LT broke it by THREE. next yera if someone rushes for 2,000 yards, and its no LT, all eyes will b on him.

I agree with you. The two reasons for LT is because he, first, broke the record for most TDs in a season. And because of SA(shaun alexander) broke his foot so he did not get a lot of chances of playing.

Lt isn't as true of a runningback as shawn alexander.
LT is more versatile but alexander is that rb that can run down the middle and pick up more rushing yds

shaun alexander does not suck, he is not good just because of his line, and go Seahawks! i dont know if some of you are on drugs but shaun alexander is a ******* animal. if he was just some good/not great back, then would he have broken the TD record, got MVP, went to the pro bowl and gotten put on the madden cover? hell no he is definetly up there with LT and LJ

Sure Shaun Alexander is "up there" in the top 3 maybe... But L.T. is soo much ahead that there is no one that can even get off the subject of how awesome he is! I mean, he broke a record this previous year and set it where it would be really tough for anyone to break it in future seasons...
