My guppies had their babies a two weeks ago. How long does it take for them to become full grown? When can you tell what sex they are?

The maturation and size of guppies is highly dependant upon their environment (particularly in nature), but with water temps in the 70s to 80s and good food they are mature in about 2 months.

Aquarium guppies with a lot of luck and excellent conditions they may live up to 3 years, the better and more stable the conditions in which they are kept and the less medication used on them, the longer they live. Beyond 2 years none of the lovlier fish look very good (they get hump backed and lose finnage detail).

You can usually begin to be able to sex them at about 4-6 weeks. They are small but fully grown smewhere areound 10 weeks. This varies greatly depending on food, temperature and water quality.

Full grown, in fresh water usually around 3 months in warm salt water a little sooner.

Sexing usually around a month or so. They will still be a bit small so it may be difficult.

Congrad's on the little ones.
