because its just a stupid opinon thing. but nobody realizes that Ford and Chevy need to team up against the REAL enemy- the JAPS or they are both going to end up going out of business.

Part of it has to do with your experiances. For instance, I come from a family where every time Dad decided he would take a chance on a ford it was nothing but trouble. I do know of a family who had a number of fords and they were just fine.

Another part of it is the rivalry, you pick what team you like and you have a strong aversion to the other one. For instance, I don't really care about football, but I'm a Wisconsinite and thus root for the packers (WI) and hate the vikings (MN).

And at this time ford is strongly supporting the homosexual lifestyle. I am by no means putting the homosexuals down as individuals, but I strongly believe the lifestyle is wrong. Thus I will not support a company who encourages the lifestyle. There is currently a boycot against ford because of their strong preferance towards encouraging the homosexual lifestyle. Again, I am not putting these people down as individuals. They are loved and created by God, same as everyone else, and as such, they are valuable people. They have just taken a wrong turn.

Back to the ford / chevy deal, when you look at it honestly, there are problems on both sides. No vehicle is perfect and won't break down. Personally, I have been around fords that have had a habit of breaking down, but I haven't been around many chevys so I really can't compare. ...............but I do have my two cents worth to add. AMC rules!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The debate between Chevy and Ford is just one of those great American past times.
One more thing, Chevy all the way!

Because there is a difference. Chevies are just so much better. Better cars to choose from better looks better engines. This applies to older cars not the jelly bean crap they make now A day. Some things are important to people. I am sure there is something that you would be brand loyal or designer loyal to that I and a lot of other people could care less about.

Remember the Coke vs Pepsi taste challenges? A lot of people could not tell the difference without looking at the lable. A lot of these car fanatics could not tell the difference without looking at the name. But once you declare your love for something, you have to maintain that love at all costs.

If I bought product 'X' it is because product 'X' is great and always will be and I would never make a mistake (and admit it)

I'd guess it's kinda like being a fan of a pro sports team. You love your team and downplay all the others. In the end it really doesn't matter. Both, your team and your ride, at one point or another are going to disappoint you!

you really want to stir them up? (snicker)

remind the Ford guys they wouldn't exist if it wasn't for Chevrolet, for they started out as a parts company for Ford.

And Chevrolet wouldn't be here today, if it wasn't for Ford buying those parts and then later being a stiff business man causing Chevrolet to start building their own cars.

they are both interbreed, and that is where the hate comes from, deep down.
