Actually the Republicans have GOPAC.org that is actually part of the Republican party but they lie about it. Where moveon.org is an independant political action committe that happens to agree with the progressive movement advanced by the Democratic party. The Republicans want stagnation or to move backwards. I don't agree with moveon.org but with posts and people like you I am beginning to see why they say what they do and am tempted to join them.
LOL you claim the Democrats can't get anything done. Where have you been the last few years? On another planet? In a coma? The last 3 or 4 Neocon Republican controlled Congresses have done nothing. As long as Karl Rove could convince them to stay in office at any cost they tried to do that and not accomplish anything. They had more closed sessions than any other Congress in History. Those remaining in Congress from the neocon minions are the ones getting in the way of any real progress and doin the will of the people. The Republican Party will pay in 2008 when they lose by a landslide both for the White House and both chambers of Congress.

If you will recall, the name moveon came from the call for congress "Censure and move on" referring to Clinton and the Monica Lewinski affair.
That persecution went on for years and resulted in the futile impeachment of the President. What has gone on for the past couple of weeks in Congress is nothing compared to the time wasted by the Republican congress in the 90s.

It's barely been three months and it is a majority, but a small one, not a true majority.
Has the internet skewed your sense of time that much? Congress doesn't just press a button and it's done. It takes time.

What might be apropos would be to have a web site dedicated to the opposition of Moveon.org. You could call it Movebackwards.org.
