Judging from the Nov. 2006 election reslts, may I ask zH this question:
Are all those voters - disapproving of Bush's Iraq War - who brought the majority of Democrats to the House and Senate are all Liberals ? If so, then I'd have to say: Wow, Americans are really more 'Liberal' inclined.
On March 28, the disapproval rate stands at 65%, Does it mean that they are all Liberal Amercans? Good grief...
http://www.pollingreport.com/iraq.htm
Most Americans treasure young American men and women's lives. And they are voicing out against the Iraq War while watching so many American corpses reuturned home to us and so many wounded. And the waste of dollars to a nation of those left behind (3 million Iraqis have already fled Iraq) that we can not predict will not come to harm us years later. It's therefore wisdom to leave the Arab nations, not America, to bring peace to Iraq. We make an extra enemy out of the family members and friends of every person we kill - and that they may come to haunt us in later years! Remember how vengeful these people are about Saddam and his supporters? Think these Iraqis are not going to haunt us later like the way they haunt Saddam and Saddam's people.

It is not just liberals that oppose this war, i.e. Chuck Hiegal. If it were just liberals you would be talking about the exteme left which at best is 20%. Moderates in both parties as well as independents are against the war at this point. My personal reasoning behind not supporting this war from the beginning, and I am not a liberal, is based on the fact that I knew that this war would destablize the region in a way that would force the US to use up vital resources needed for more important things, i.e. healthcare reform, R&D, and education reform. I have no problem going to war as long as we are not the invaders and the cause for war is just. This war fits none of those criteria and ultimately hurts us as a nation.

Because the reasons for the war in Iraq were based on pictures of mushroom clouds and false reports of terrorism that were directed at the U.S. This was an illegal war according to international and U.S. precepts. Bush ignored excellent advice about what would happen after Saddam Hussein was gone and had no plan in place to prepare for it.
Now we're in a mess that is going to be hard to get out of.
Emotions and egotism are pitiful reasons to engage in war. How many years do you think people should pay for this horrendous mistake? How many years CAN we pay for this mistake? Why aren't you against it?

The majority of Americans, liberals, conservatives, Republicans and Democrats are opposed to Bush's War because it has been an unmitigated disaster for America. Rather than make us safe and bring peace and democracy to the Middle East, it has escalated terrorism and created an expanding conflict that threatens world peace.

Maybe, just maybe because the White house has time and again shown how to find the stupidist way to do things, so we are stuck with this huge screw up. Lets see, 3000+ killed, 20000+ wounded, the real cost is going to push 2 TRILLION when all the bills come home.
What have they accomplished so far, hummmm Iran is in a winning position now. What a great job these guys/gal have done for us.

I think anyone with a brain in their head is opposed to this war.
It's all about oil...all of it.
Do you think that Bush cares about those people? No...he doesn't. He's taken peoples fears and played on them
It's not like he is even really the president. He is Cheney's little puppet.
He is a stupid stupid man, who has a lot of people controlling him.

I'm kinda wondering if maybe you don't know that Congress specifically authorized our actions in Iraq and Congress has provided every cent of funding for it. Maybe that's why you put the "Bush's war" spin on it.

did you just refer to the war in iraq as 'bush's war.'
because the war is not necessary, and it's not constructive in any way.
i've never seen a war being started just so a politician and political party can 'look' tough.'

First of all, it is NOT "Bush"'s war. It is America vs Terrorism.
Second, they want to be communists, because they don't know any better and don't care.
