you can use jetaudio to record ur sound and if u want to record when u speak u must have recording extension pack for jetaudio and in jetaudio ---recording section --- tick enable silent detector and u can record ur voice when u speak

You need a recording program. Windows comes with a free recorder called Sounder Recorder. It is found in Programs > Accessories > Entertainment > Sound Recorder.

Simple click on "record" and start talking.
