I've had my PC for about a year an a half now and my LCD monitor has always been great. I play WoW and when I alt+tab or start up the program it has always smoothly transitioned without pause. Just yesterday though, I start up or alt+tab and for a good 3 seconds I get a "No signal input" message on a black screen before it switches. Anyone know the cause?

It means that the old program and the new program are running at different resolutions. When you switch between the two, the PC has to stop the signal, switch to the new resolution, and then restart the signal. If it takes more than a few fractions of a second to make that transition, you will get that message. As long as the picture comes back within a few seconds, it is not a problem.

If you check the menu build into the monitor itself, there is usually a way the warning message can be turned off at the monitor itself. It was probably off, and somehow got turned on a couple days - thus the message.
