it should say on your photocard (if you have one,)
they expire completly when you are 70
BUT THE PHOTO CARD MINE FOR EXAMPLE EXPIRES IN 2017 BECAUSE OF YOUR APPEARANCE THROUGH AGE CHANGE.
(photo expires when you age but the paper part (actual licence) expires when you are 70).

If you look at you licence - the paper part it tells you when it expires. When you are 70 you will require a doctors certificate to renew for three years and every three years after.

It doesn't ever expire....but once you become old you need to get Doctor approval that you are phycially competent safe to drive....eg sight etc

It is a very odd situation...that once you get through a test.....and some people fail many before having one good day......you are then OK to drive basically for ever more. Bad habits can be devoped etc but it makes no difference.

Your driving license in great britain runs out a day before your 70th birthday. (3/12/43 for me) you can still drive but you need a doctors certificate to carry on which has to be renewed every 5 years. If theres any changes in your health however you must inform DVLA immediately.

When you reach 70 years of age.

Can be re-newed by visiting your G.P. and having a medical (private) which then allows you to drive for another year, before repeating the process.

i own a shop and i live in Tennessee, and we only re-new ours every 5 years or7 years, depending on when you was born ,mine are due every seven years so this way we don't have to fool with them as much, but it varies from state to state how this is done, and when you re-new them, and when they run out that day there due, there is no grace period for this ,but usually they wont give you nothing but a warning ticket to get them renewed, good luck i hope this helps.
