For my big backyard I put a saddle on my goat(Hercules) and ride it around. He is better than a riding lawn mower. For my smaller front yard, I use a pigmy goat(little billy). They eat and fertilize at the same time. Sometimes I put Little Billy up on the roof to eat the moss. It is good to have a little pigmy upper now and then.

My ex inlaws have a goat, and alot of grass, sometimes she can't get to all the grass. You would have to hire a team of goats to do an entire lawn and the only one you'd have to pay is the owner of the goats.Lose the guy and you should have some goat money.

That would be my mother in law. She don't do crap at her home. She is a very nasty women and I just hate going to her home and for real she does have someones goats there every year like 4 of them to cut her yard. Now if she can get someone on the inside to clean it she will be doing good. She never knows how to take coming to my home for it is to clean for her.

I had a goat to help do yard work only to find out that they are browsers and not grazers. She ate the tulips and rose bushes and chomped the redbud down to a walking stick. Never ate one single blade of grass.
As for your Tennessee goat, if you pay him more than one quart of moonshine per acre, you are getting cheated. Perhaps you should use half-pint Mason jars hidden in the grass so that he will have to keep cutting to find the next one. This will also prevent him from drinking up all of the motivation before he gets the job done.

I've been using mine to trim the shrubs and hedges, I prefer to leave the lawn to the yak.
It can get kind of expensive, but it costs less than the seagulls I pay to crap on my neigbor's car...

My old mother always told me "Never keep a goat and chomp yourself". So I get rid of my own grass...well, me and the purple spotty leprechauns who come giggle with me afterwards...
