Shouldn't firefighters in all states enjoy the same protection? How many firemen suffer alligator bites each year when trying to hook the hose up to the fire hydrant? How many of our beloved pet poochies have to find somewhere else to piddle? Let's stop this dangerous practice in all states.

As a proud alligator owner I strenuously object to this attempt to impinge on my God-given freedom to tie my pets wherever I wish. You, sir, are an illiberal cad. It's bad enough that my brother had to move from Michigan last year, and now you want to spread this insidious legislation elsewhere? Shame on you sir!

I believe Fred said what the rest of us were already thinking.

so Stick to your own state. After extensive research, I've found the following laws for the state of Oregon:

Oregon

It is illegal to whisper "dirty" things in your lover's ear during sex.
It is illegal to buy or sell marijuana, but it is legal to smoke it on your own property.
You may not pump your own gas in service stations.
Canned corn is not to be used as bait for fishing.
It's against the law for a wedding ceremony to be performed at a skating rink.
People may not whistle underwater.
Ministers are forbidden from eating garlic or onions before delivering a sermon.
One may not box with a kangaroo.
It is against the law for animals to have sex in the city limits.
No more than two people may share a single drink.

So leave the aligators alone..... put on your boxing gloves and focus on your Kangaroo courts!!!

*ahem* That's all I have to say about that.

I wouldn't mind alligators tied to fire hydrants..where else will they get easy meals...every doggie is a yummy treat.
as for those Oregon laws...what does Marianne mean...they can't pump their own gas? I can't pump my own gas either , isn't that like this everywhere?....
