the magma is already molten, so it doesnt count :)

the magma flows down the mountain and melts a bit of the mountain (nr1) when it reaches the ocean, the magma instantly cools and solidifies (nr2), because of this the ocean will vaporise (nr3) the salt in the ocean will crystalise (nr4)

so id say 4 :)

The lava is not changing all the states . There is a volcano in Ecuador that is about twice as deep as most of the others,it name is REVENTADOR which means exploding volcano . The combinations of rock are very different from the others. The pressure builds up in the lava ,and as it gets to the surface it just explodes.
