i have dsl and i want to run a server from home for websites
. i will like to know what will the speed be for others visiting my website and what is other infomation to look for when buying a server ..

A "server" is just a piece of software, like the free Apache web server, for Windows. Once Apache is installed and configured, any old PC can be a server.

If your ISP will ALLOW you to run a web server, the performance depends on the bandwidth your ISP provides and how many people try to connect to your server at any one time..
