She probably got internal bleeding, and unfortuanately she will die, just try to be with her and make her as comfortable as you can,
ive had a hamster die that way, he was in his cage and when i reached in to pick him up he bit me, and it startled me and i yanked my had back, but he hadnt let go, so i slammed him on the ground, and he died, i felt so bad. But you can get a new one, even though it cant replace ur other hamster
I really hope im wrong about what happened to her, but dont be suprised if she doesnt make it
Im sorry about your hamster

I'm sorry to hear this. 2 years is a good age for a hamster! It does sound like she is reaching the end of her life - please for her sake be brave and take her to the vets. It does sound like she is suffering, which must be horrible for you to see. Better for it to be ended quickly and humanely, as watching an animal die is very unpleasant. One of my mice died on my lap before I could get to a vet and it was a very unpleasant sight. I also had my first hamster put to sleep, and it is a far better way. One eye being closed is usually a sign in hamsters that things are bad.
Take care,
Chalice

I cannot say for sure, but as an animal lover. I would say, PLEASE take her to a vet asap! I have gone through the agony of watching the health of my cat deteriorate after procrastinating in seeking veterinary care. I do know that in humans, as they are dying, they stop eating and/or drinking. Five feet is a long way to fall for a hamster. I really wish you the best of luck.

I took my first hamster to the vet when he was not eating much and was very shaky and wobbly on his legs.
The vet asked lots of questions, but the most peritnent happened to be "how old is your hampster"? to which I answered almost 3 yrs old.
It was then I found that the life span of a hamster is @2 yrs of age.
I would take your hamster to the vet for evaluation, but it may just be her time.
(My vet gave my hamster less then a week to live, and being suspicious he may be in pain, I opted to have him euthanised).

It doesn't sound like she's dying. It sounds just like she's freightened insanely. Her left eye being closed could be a sign that she injured it. If she isn't exhibiting spazzums, boughts of hissing, or drooling and twitching, chances are, she's fine.

Seek help from a veterinarian right away. She needs help ASAP! I dont mean to alarm you but it is urgent! If possible make sure they specialize in small pocket pets.
