Seeds are not good for bunnies. Too many can certainly harm them. A few won't do much damage, but they won't do any good. They're too high in fat, and the bunnies are so good at extracting nutrients from their food that if they eat things that are too rich they can gain weight very quickly.

As far as litter, I recommend Feline Pine or something similar. (There's a generic brand, Exquisicat, that's cheaper.) Then put Timothy hay in the litter box, too. The Feline Pine won't hurt them if they eat a little bit, but most cat litters will.

Some seeds are ok, it just depends on the kind of seeds. What you really want to avoid are the veggies, greens, lettuce, and fruits and stuff that other people and www.rabbit.org tell you WRONGLY that you should feed your rabbit. That kind of stuff can give your rabbit diahrrea, especially if fed in excess.

Below are some seeds that rabbit show breeders will often feed their rabbits:

sunflower seeds
oats - normally rolled oats or race horse oats
barley - rolled or steamed
flax seed - no more than a pinch - helps sheen/shine of coat

Some people feed their rabbits corn, but I don't recommend that. It can give your rabbit too much energy, causing it to blow it's fur coat and to get fat. It can also make it get too hot during the summer. Corn produces heat inside them because it is very high in energy, which can be bad for a rabbit during the summer when they are outside and already hot.

One of the best things you can feed your rabbit is timothy hay.

And yes, you can use kitty litter. Stick the litter box in the corner you see the rabbit using the restroom in the most. Rabbits usually tend to go to the restroom in corners. When it doesn't go where it is supposed to go after you've found the spot where it goes most and put the litterbox there then spray it with water from a water spray bottle.

The American Rabbit Breeders Association provides a flyer on how to house train rabbits. Their website is www.arba.net. They are a much better source for reliable rabbit information than www.rabbit.org.

If you really worry about them ingesting it there are kittly litters made out of organic products that won't hurt the rabbit if it ingests it. The rabbit is not likely to ingest the kitty litter anyhow though. That's like expecting it to eat the gravel out of your driveway. Rabbits aren't chickens. They won't eat kitty litter anymore than a cat will.

www.rabbit.org, they have information on rabbit diets. Personally, stick with the pellets, veggies, fruits, and hay. No nuts. As for litter, I use Yesterday's News, it's recycled newspaper and won't cause harm if ingested. Don't use clay or clumping litter though, as that can be dangerous.

I would agree about the seeds and ntus. IDK about litter I don't think you need it.
