I was a Sociology major, I had planned on going to law school after I got my BA but ended up working in the pharmaceutical research field. Think about what you like to do, if there is something you really enjoy. As long as you have your degree, you will eventually get a job. It is not so much what degree you get, but what work experience you have that gets you a good job. Intern as much as you can in the summer, anything to fill up your resume with experience.

If you want a high paying job, major in business, science or engineering, or go to law school.

What is a minor in peace studies by the way?

Oh, and I am 32 and still don't know what I want to be when I grow up!

Don't wait get the Masters. With the background you have you can do any non-profit work, go into the legislative area. There are many options you have. Government is always the highest paying job. Any Masters in Political anything would put you on your way to working in any area you want. Peace studies is awesome, you could focus on any level of conflict resolution in schools or head programs, sociology is fantastic because you can work within any community agency. You have an eclectic array of education and this is a good thing because you will be able to fit in anywhere you want. The question is, what do you want to do ? With you level of education you can direct any program. Good luck.

I definitely think that you should take a year off to decide what you want to do. You have a nice broad path to narrow down. That's great. How much volunteer work are you doing in your major? That's what you need to do. A month of volunteering will save you from a lifetime in a career that doesn't suit you. Congratulations, your educational opportunities sound exciting!

Sell coffee at Starbucks... Seriously, if you are interested in politics you should join a political campaign in the hopes of a political appointment.

Teaching would be a good choice, but the real question is what are you interested in doing?
