Artifacts of early modern humans have been found in caves on all continents except Antarctica. It is natural to take shelter in caves, particularly in cold climates. By "caveman" you may be thinking of Neanderthal man who has been extinct for about 40000 years, and lived in Europe and the middle east.

"Cavemen" is a very vague and generic term, but, these "cavemen" most likely lived in what is now the middle east and asia and some of africa.

Africa, Asia, Europe (Neanderthals in particular are known to have lived in what is now France)

After that it depends on where you stop calling them cavemen...
