I grew up there, so I love it because it's home. I've been gone for 10 years now, but I would suggest that you find more productive (and safer) things to do with your time. If you insist on going, check out Miller Pizza on Lake St. Best pizza in the world.

Gary is one of the most dangerous places in America. You are a fool if you are expecting some beach front, Lake Michagan town. You might as well go to Camdon, NJ or Detroit.

Don't GO! Gary is one of the most violent places in the US. check out their crime stats. keep driving until you get to chicago, but don't stop in gary.
