Darth Vader is awesome. He is the reason for my Star Wars obsession. In reality he wasn't the best villian. Sure we all thought he was evil but he was mostly the spokesperson for the Emporer making him nothing more but Palpatine's servant. Vader was bitter and angry with a goal of bringing Palpatine down. You don't get that information with the movies as much as you do the books (Expanded Universe).

Thats the problem with parents and stroppy kids. The kids always think they know best.
No understanding of his dad's job. No respect for his elders. Just wanting to fly about space, blowing things up, getting mucky and not even telling anyone he's safe.
And all Darth Vader wanted was the best for his son. So yep. He was cool.

He was a bit slow and sloppy with a lightsaber. Darth Maul was clearly far greater in his skill...

The voice and the heavy breathing, the black gear, the height and broad shoulders, the ruthlessness.
I just wish he hadn't taken his helmet off before he died. What a let down.

hell yes he is THE all time excellent bad guy.
utterly ruthless, totally dedicated to his job of doing the emperors dirty work, and get to wear black (like a proper bady)
the fact that he is Luke's father only add to his menace as he tries to take down his only son for the emperor.
as bad guys go he is the dogs tender bits.
