Nope and if you receive bills in his name, write "Deceased" on the envelopes and send them back to the sender.

Did you go by his name, some people do and that makes them responsible. Some states commom law is just as if your married and your responsible if you admit it or purchased something with him.
Before I got to involved I'd take those letters mark them deceased , try that, if doesn't work if you know his family's address take them bills put them a envelope address to their address. You can put them in a envelope and tell whoever is billing try this address, his famlies..

There are different laws in different states. You very well may be responsible. I would consult an attorney.

Only if you are co-signer on any of the loans / debts..
Of course, creditors will be paid off by anything in the will...
