Colorado must win all 4 of their remaining games and Calgary can't get more than 1 point. If Calgary gets 1 point, the teams would be tie and Colorado would squeak out a better win record as a fist tie breaker. If Calgary wins one game, they clinch it.

The Avalanche need to win every single game the rest of the way and hope that Calgary does not get at least one point. Both teams have 4 games left, 2 against each other this week coming, so I don't think that it is going to happen that Colorado will get into the playoffs, however, stranger things have happened, so you really never know. But the eight spot is definitely Calgary's to lose. We'll see how it all goes from here.

Colorado must win out and Calgary must lose out, it that simple. I'd have to say though that the chances of that happening at not very good, the reason is that not only do I think that Calgary is a playoff caliber team, I think they are going to be a very dangerous 8th seed. I'm calling a Calgary series win over the 1st seed in the west this year.

Colorado win the rest of their games and Calgary lose the rest of their games. The Avs are 7 points behind with 4 games remaining for both teams.

Well... yeah, lets just hope that the red hot flames lose all the rest of the games in regulation and the Avs win every game in regulation. But chances are with the flames and the way they have been playing, the Avs need a miracle to make it this year.

Colorado must win the four remaining games against Calgary (twice) Vancouver and Nashville. Also Calgary must lose the games it has against San Jose and Edmonton also without going to overtime or shootouts. (no more points)

They need some guys that can play hockey. They should call the Flyers and see if a few of their guys will move to the Rocky Mountain Oyster State.

They need to score more points than Calgary. Period. They are only 5 behind. It can be done!

I just don't think they can do it. Calgary just won't lose enough for them to make it.

Sorry
