i have a nice super-delta almost halfmoon yellow male with about 6 ray... i want to breed it with my blue female betta with 2 rays is it possible to get super-deltas in the spawn??? ty

Not really. Ther may be some very, very few, but since delta til shape is based on getting rid of the veil tail that most pet shops fish carry, you are mostly going backwards. I would suggest you look around online and order a really good female yellow delta tail and start your own line of Yellow deltas

Generally, pet store bettas are the "mutts" of the betta world. I'm not sure of the genetic outcome of this proposed breeding. However, I am messaging just to remind you that when you breed bettas, you are potentially bringing 50-500 babies into the world. Are you prepared to care for them? Do you have homes ready for the bettas, or will you be keeping all of them?

Probably not. If you are breeding for a type you need to know the family line of the fish. There is no guarantee on the genetics of a pet store fish.
