People have been searching for the lost Island of Atlantis almost since recorded time began. Given the sheer amount of money spent on these endeavors in the academic community alone, and the plethora of material available to the layman as well as the academia, I would say there has to be some truth about sinking islands, wouldn't you agree. Enter "Atlantis" into your search engine and start from there. You will be provided with no end of links.
