I want to use a couple movie quotes on greeting cards I may be selling. I can't seem to find copyright laws on doing this. Does anyone know about this?

You have to contact the copyright holder and get permission, especially for a commercial purpose. If you were giving a speech or writing a book where the quote was an insubstantial part of your creation, then it would fall under a fair use, but you want to basically sell your card on the reputation the created material has built. If the material is old enough ("Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn.") there is a slight chance it is out of copyright protection, but I wouldn't plan on it.

generally, script writers and studios want to stay in the limelight. there is a good chance they will clear the use of thier material in return for a credit on the card. this would be wording something like "used by permission of Warner Bros". this provides the advert and puts people on notice that the rights belong to the orignal author.
