Because my automatic update isn't working I'm at risk every moment I'm on the internet and mssupport@microsoft.com is weak at best. Why?

Always best to turn off your auto updates and download all your critical updates from Windows Updates in the start menu.

Alot quicker this way then waiting for Microsoft to get around to downloading your critical updates automatic.

You know they come out every second Tuesday of the month. This month was the first time there was no updates.

Many times Microsoft will not have them available until Wednesday the following day for download.

If your key is not valid, you will not receive any updates or be able to download any software from Microsoft. Their WGA Tool will check your hardware/software to validate your platform.

I don't find anything wrong with automatic updates, but my Windows XP is legal. Why are you at risk every moment you are on the internet? At risk for what? If you don't have antivirus, you are at risk. That's not Microsoft's fault, it's yours. If you don't have anti-spyware installed, you are at risk. That's not Microsoft's fault, it's yours.

I've used Microsoft products for as many years as they've been in business, and have always found their support to be outstanding, either by phone, email or live chat.

Either accept all the updates when they are given, or go to Windows update and download them, but you need ALL of them, not just the ones you choose.

in case you do there's a danger that an computerized replace supply you issues. in case you do no longer there's a danger that your pc would be attacked via a scourge (malware) that exploits a fault that has been fastened via an computerized replace. So utilising computerized updates grants immunity to three pc viruses. the two hazards are small yet i think of the 2nd danger is, for the first pc consumer, better than the 1st.
