OK, I confess, I had my head in the sand too. Apart from an email from my husband (he's in Iraq) which had an instruction to scroll down - I scrolled down a long way - and just Happy April Fool's Day at the bottom, I was completely unaware of any other April Fool. I lead a quiet life. Or maybe because it was Sunday.
Instead of going straight to church for the morning service with the children, as it was Palm Sunday we went to a nearby school from where there was a procession with donkeys and palm leaves to the village church. I'm just trying to imagine what would have happened if everyone had turned up to find just a sign saying "Ha Ha April Fool - Go to Church!!"

have you ignored radio/tv/newspapers today then. Within about 2 minutes of picking up the Telegraph this morning, i was struggling to believe what one article was saying, as it was so obviously an april fool. I'm sorry, and no offence meant, but you must be really gullable.

The Mail on Sunday had an article about Britain's Cape Canaveral rocket site on the Isle of Wight and the Sunday Express ran an article about clay soldiers being found under Hadrian's Wall.

You obviously don't have Gmail, or haven't checked it today, as they ran an April Fool about printing all your emails out and delivering them to you. There's also a great one on Realclimate.org about sheep being responsible for avoiding global warming.
