There are places where your neighbor is 30 miles away.
Wyoming is the least populated state.
Alaska has the fewest by per square mile. Western Nebraska, Eastern Colorado and the Dakotas is very isolated.

Are you kidding? There are places in west Texas where the nearest neighbor is 100 miles away, and kids have to be flown out to the nearest school because it would take half a day to get their by bus.
