Yes, I believe it represented a form of Human History and our Subconscious. It was all about Female and Male struggles. The World was still very Matriarchal, but the Patriarch wanted to emerge, conquer and rule instead. The First Gods and Goddesses, The Titans, were replaced in Ancient Greek Mythology with the Arrival of the Aryans, by Zeus, the Aryan Sky God. After defeating the Titans, Zeus and the New Gods established their residence on Mt Olympus. However, Gaea, Earth, The Mother, was still worshipped. Who would have wanted to do away with that concept then ? It was unconceivable.

I do not believe in any Mythology. I do believe in the Greek Pantheon of Gods and Goddesses. No one has ever been able to disprove that they all exist. The are still a few portrayals of what they looked like that the Christians have not yet defaced. There are still some of the old books and plays that are as feasible as the Bible in describing and giving Their message.
One thing I truly admire the Greek Pantheon for is that they have given humans Their names and attributes. None of those who support the Gods of monotheism have ever been allowed to know their Gods true name or attributes.

There is a small group of people who still practice the ancient Pagan Greek religion... probably not even 1 million worldwide. The ones that live in Greece recently campaigned because they wanted to use one of their ancient temples but they were denied.

The definition for myth is as follows: any invented story, idea, or concept, an imaginary or fictitious thing or person. So if you do believe in it, it is kind of like believing in a lie that has been proven to be a lie.
On a side note, hey pjerry, way to display your anti-semitism. News flash: The Germans lost along with their way of thinking.

Very nice stories, too much names and many many intrigues, too much revenge.
Jesus is better. It' s very much interesting if you read it but study it ..... a bit difficult, especially if it is in ancient Greek language through writters of that time.
I' m Greek and I had to study it at school.

Sure, I killed Aries two years ago. I just kicked Zeus's *** a few days ago, but he ran like a pussy and I ended up accidentally killing Athena, now I'm goin' to Mount Olympus to take my vengeance and defeat all the gods!
