How to connect to my goddady MySQL database?

Question

How do I connect to my goddady MySQL database from the MySQL that I have installed in my computer?

I downloaded MySQL administrator and tried to connect to my Goddady mysql database using the host name but it didn't work.

Any clues?

It is too much of a risk for most hosts to even allow this. But you might try putting allow (yourIP) into the my.cnf and see if it will allow you to connect. The my.cnf file is on your GoDaddy server somewhere.

you cant run mysql from your computer with a website....you have to have a server with your website and load mysql on the server
