If you're being argumentative, then yes.
If you're looking to connect, then most likely no.
If you're just looking to be yelled at, then yes.
Expectation just makes things worse, which fuddles with the accuracy of this question's answer.

of course it depends on the question. If I state my opinion than I usually just want them to agree. If I ask an opinion with out stating my own then I probably just want a general opinion.

I don't usually ask for an opinion, as I like mine as much as anyone's. When I ask a question, it's for something I know nothing about and really need the help.

When I ask for someones opinion its what they think and believe in and I have nothing against it. When people ask for my opinion and its not the answer they want.. I get like a million thumbs down.

Yes, I do. I may not always agree with their opinion, but oftentimes I find that when I listen with an open mind, I find a new perspective on the situation at hand.
I like to ask my children's opinions on things...it helps me to see the world through their eyes!

Sometime's it depends on the question. I do like to hear other opinions but I don't always agree with the answers.
