Yes — after close to 50 years. Marriage is a process of discovery (as are all human relationships) — a particularly intimate one. One grows and changes, and you discover more about yourself and about other people with whom you relate (including family, husband or wife, children and so on). There are many small challenges in the relationships, and sometimes major ones. You have to adjust to challenges, wrestle with them — sometimes you are close to giving up, sometimes you actually give up (e.g., an abused husband or wife). After all these years, I would marry my wife again in a snap. We got engaged after three weeks of going around together (she was 19, I was 21) — the best thing I ever did.
