that is what a gang of people shouted to my mate the other night and then they jumped him. why? because he is gay. too bad i wasn't there at the time I would have gave them a piece of my mind and made sure they couldn't move the next day. I mean why do people do this? what do they hope to gain with being racist and discrimitive except for a bad rep? I asked this before but thought I'd get you lots opinion. Have you ever been in this situation? x

Ok, listen here. All those who keep bringing up "jesus" in their answers, why? jesus was not homophobic. it doesn't say once in the bible that jesus disguarded some gay bloke. the catholic church may disagree with homosexuality, but Jesus didnt.

I read a review of the music video "beautiful" by christina agulaira, and there was some guy who said "...but why are there gay people in it?... I don't have a problem with there being gay people, I just don't think it should be shown." (paraphrased cause I dont remember the whole ignorant rant) It pissed me off so much because itunes wouldn't let me message him to tell him what a jackass he is.

thats what i like to call a bruised apple you cant do anything about it other than mabye creating a litlle awareness but on a whole you should let it go . if you like though you could contact the police and inform of the assault as appose to going on yahoo answers and then you could spend many a day looking for them and getting them charged and throwing them in the media and just making them feel all around rotten anyhow ive never been in this situation i think but these people have issues that you wont be able to deal with thats the way they want to be so stand up be proud and attract those ******* again and this time have a cellphone or a cop car around the corner so you can put them were they belong in a 3ft by 3ft cell with bread water juice and a little fruit explosion muffin so they can look at the wall alday and think about what they have done

I'm so sorry that happened to your mate. I am a straight female with 90% of my friends being gay men. I am actually writing a paper on Hate Crimes against homosexuals. It is so disturbing that hate crimes even take place, I mean it is 2007! People are ignorant, and I read a survey that concluded that people who commit hate crimes are just insecure in their own sexuality and they commit these crimes as a sort of rite of passage so to say. Many people still tolerate ignorance so that attitude just feeds hate. I am also a Christian, which is very often a group targeted by gay and lesbian activists, so there are extremists in every group. Ignorance is stupidity, and it's sad this is still exists. Educating our youth is probably the best thing in preventing ignorant minds. So sorry this happened, I wish everyone today was open-minded and could except people the way they are. " I chose to be gay the same moment you chose to be straight".

Your mate was jumped for the best reason these *** holes can come up with, "they don,t like them", in other words they react this way to anything, anyone, that is different than most of them. Different in any way, skin color, religious belief, foreigner, to name a few, and gay is pretty different, mostly. Some of them are probably gay, but not out of the closet, yet. And funny you would mention the Catholic church being against homos, well, the sure aren't against molesting children, now are they? Every priest that does this should be taken out and shot, DEAD, I am 100% serious, I can't deal with this crime aginst humanity.

Let me just say I know Jesus Christ.

Iv been Baptized, Iv gone to Church and I feel VERY comfortable with my Christianity and I know that god loves me and I KNOW that I am going to Heaven.

You know that at least HALF these people who cry out religion jack off, Eat shellfish, Have sex before marriage ect.

Its a huge double standard that they don't view. Its everyone else's problem... WHATEVER!!!

I AGREE WITH YOU CHRIS 100% on the whole Catholic thing. They decide every issue on the bible because they are the Reigning Christian Religion. They don't give us The majority of the bible to read. WHY?!!! They don't let us have the scriptures written by wemon. Why Not?!

ugh this bullshit is pissin me off...

Anyway I have had people say that to me over the net and its Just pathetic. I would have kicked the living **** out of them if I was there. I doubt people would say that to me here, but I'm sure it will happen some day for sure.

Its a mix between arrogance, ignorance and upbringing. Some people see it as a supremist attitude and single out the 'weaker' party. Basically they deserve a beating themselves and to grow up! As to the religion part who cares what some 2000 yr old bloke said to some straight white guys in a meeting? Live ur life how u like and do what makes you happy. If you get it wrong then answer to it when you meet the big man. Hey, i mean you could always say 'You made me. If you don't like it change the blue prints'.

I don't know how you can say Jesus was not against same sex relationships when he clearly was. He states it himself, and He often asks when someone was ignorant of the Old Testament "have you not read the word?" Paul also teaches directly from what he learned from Jesus, and teaches that same sex relationships are not natural, and a sin. Jesus also teaches that Christians are to teach the truth, and if people don't listen to simply brush the dust from your feet and move on. It's their choice how they live.

I would suggest reading the New Testament, and not taking someones word for what it says.

Don't get me wrong I think anyone who would jump someone for their personal choice is sick, and should be punished.

I am of grandmother age and I am heterosexual. I have no fear of homosexuals. They can not hurt me in any way. When you love each other it does not harm me. I am ashamed and embarrassed by these behaviors. We have the same problems here in America -- so many seem to think it is catching or that it will cause them pain. I have examined the "problem" and I see no problem. Gay people are just people and unless I am planning on sleeping with someone I don't even care which way they lean. It is none of my business and I wish people would just leave Gays alone.

Being gay cannot be made illegal. There will always be gay people and there's not much they can do about it.

But the recent trend has been to promote homosexuality in a very positive way. Thanks to celebritys 'coming out' and many new laws supporting gay lifestyles as totally acceptable and normal.

I can't help feel that the rise in acceptance of gay rights is 'fashionable'.

Personally, I do not beleive gay is normal. It's an unfortunate genetic mistake. Gay people should not be ridiculed but I see no reason they should receive special rights either.

in response to D Allman
"Its not 'special' things we want we want the same rights as everyone."

No offense intended, you are right to expect the same rights as the rest of us

Do you want to know why they did it? its because they are taking their own insecurities out on your mate, because they are trying to supress there own homosexual feelings.. they are losers that cant face up to what they are, they follow the crowd like a sheep because their own inbred sheep shagging families teach them no morals or respect for other people. Well i hope your mates called the police and made a full report, the losers need to be brought to justice, does he recognise them?
i think the worst thing you could do is take matters into your own hands, its not worth ruining your life for some low life chavs with no future for them but a prison cell.
A really good friend of mine who is bisexual got attacked too, just because of his sexual orientation.
For small narrow minded people its sometimes impossible for them to understand that everybody is different in the world, and make different choices, and that some people have are the ability to make their own decisions and not go with the crowd, even when they know its morally wrong. It says more about them than it does to your friend, for a group to pick on just one person just shows what cowards they really are... i really hope your friends ok, and to stay true to himself and not to be a shamed x

karma: what goes around comes around.. theyll get whats coming to them.. eventually
