They always say you should wear ring that are the same metal & carat so they don't wear against one another

with engagement / wedding & enternity rings if you are going to wear them all together all the time have them all the same e.g 18ct yellow gold, 9ct white gold

Depends on the carot of the gold the higher it is the softer the metal so the silver one could wear it away in time,as for luck it is supposed to be bad luck to mix gold and silver.

Yes you can and the thing to remember here is, the silver ring reflects the color of the gold ring, so you have to really look close to tell one is silver and one is gold.

these days people wear what they like without caring, so in answer to your question then - yes. But personally i always thought it to be bad luck mixing silver and gold.

As you can't tell between them, I can't see why not. In fact, trade in the white gold and buy silver instead at a fraction of the cost then pass it off as white gold.

Yes you can but they will both wear away at each other as they rub together.
This would only probably show as small scratches round the edges of the rings.
My advice would be it's ok on the odd occasion but not all the time.

You can if you wish, nowadays, you can buy two tone rings. Many find it strange to mix up to elements up, perfering to play a look safely with matching sets and blend in designs.

Our wedding bands are yellow gold around white gold and they look lovely, so i don't see why not.

don't ask us try it and see what it looks like! If it looks good yes, if it doesn't then wear them on different fingers or the other hand.
