Plug in your favorite number for x and solve for y.

This will get you your first number pair. Write these numbers down in the form (x, y).

Do this 2 more times with 2 values for x that are different from the first and from each other.

That will get you 2 more pairs for a total of 3.

Put x=0 then y=2(0)+3=3
Putx=1 then y=2(1)+3=5
Put x=2 then y=2(2)+3=7
Thus the points (0,3),(1,5) and (2,7) on the line

Plug in a number for x.

Then do the arithmetic - that will give you a y value for that x.

Describe that number pair as (x, y), with the parentheses and the comma and everything.

Do that twice more.

plug 0 for x
y = 2(0) + 3
y = 3
(0,3)

plug 1 for x
y = 2(1) + 3
y = 5
(1,5)

plug 2 for x
y = 2(2) + 3
y = 7
(2,7)
