I have a 6 page paper on hate crimes against gay men and lesbians. I have no idea what kind of format to write it in, I can't even come up with an outline! I don't know what to do! I have info on hate crimes but I don't know what to make the paragraphs about and put them together in some sort of a logical sequence. Any help is GREATLY appreciated! It is a research paper so it has to be cited and everything, I already have the info.

I have all my research info, it is MLA format, but I have no thesis so I don't know what to have in my hook paragraph and I don't know what to write in supporting paragraphs. I am suppose to be explaining the concept, what else would you want to know as if I were explaining it to you?

If the teacher has provided you with a format to use, then just follow that template. If she hasn't, then MLA is almost universally acceptable for a research paper; just confirm that with your instructor before you put work into it.
Without knowledge of the specific information that you have, it's difficult to make recommendations. You could try to categorize the hate crimes into specific groups as your main topics. You could discuss the crimes, their repercussions, and what people are trying to do to educate others about tolerance. Just try and think of how you'd present the information to someone who knew absolutely nothing about the subject of hate crimes, and do your paper in that order.

well you already heard about my mate so that is another piece of info. Firstly don't panic I do essays all the time and they do kill me lmao. Start off by doing a brainstorm as such.. put all your info on a page and decide which one you wish to mention first. The main part of your essay is the introduction. Focus on the question on your intro and make sure you let the reader know what you are going to mention on your paper. Good luck.. hope i helped a little ha;) x

Try to analyze your sources. Sit down and re-read them. Once you've done this summarize them in one sentence. These sentences should then become your topics. Then take all your topic sentences and summarize them into one sentence and you'll have your theme.
As stated above, use MLA format unless otherwise specified. If you don't know what that is google it. It's there.

write it in MLA format if you know what that is,first paragragh is your hook and thesis(main reason your writing). the body paragraghs just support your thesis and topic of the paper with a concrete detail,and such. the last paragrph restates your thesis with a universal messgae applying to everyone
