If it were me I would use a router specifically built for this type installation. You little home router just doesn't secure your business the way a real router will. Take a look at the AirEpoch unit (fairly inexpensive) it will isolate wireless clients from the LAN it will authorize only those YOU Specify and it will track usage etc. You can even get a ticket printer if you like.

You may want to get a pro to setup the right system, miles ahead down the road. A switch and a hub are very similar devices - the switch is just much faster at its job (simple answer)

with a linksys router, a small 8 port network hub, and small business cable internet.

A router passes packets from one network to another (on different ip address schemes)..

A switch only passes packets b/w machines on one local network..
