i have a punctured wound on my hand and 2 fingers are numb on the sides but i can still move them, doc said i hit a nerve and is going to take time til i get the feeling back in my fingers, i also get shooting pain on the numb area sometimes. took antibiotics, tetanus shot and pain killers

yes the ER askd to see my doc for follow up, and gave info on hand specialists, but my doc said to let it rest and that the feeling would be back in couple days is been a week already, i dont know if i should keep my hand stationary and let it rest or do finger excercise and keep them moving

my doc said its not necessary to see a hand specialist or else they would start digging in my hand and probably make it worst. and im anxious to get back in the gym is been a week already and driving me crazy

I'm no Doctor but I know it will take months for nerves to regrow (get feeling back) not a couple days.

Sounds like they did everything they could.

So long as you don't have a tremendous amount of swelling, moving them would not hurt but I would hold of on the exercises until you see your hand specialist.
